A typical Case

This patient, in her early forties,  didn't like the colour of her teeth. We took impressions to create a mould of her teeth and constructed a whitening tray. This is made from a very thin clear material, which even when filled with the whitening gel, is barely noticeable. The patient was instructed to wear the tray for an hour per day, and to avoid highly cloured food and drinks.

Before: Note that the top and bottom teeth are generally the same colour and that there is a small filling on the tip of one of the front teeth

After 8 weeks, this is the end result. Remember, the upper and lower teeth were the same colour when we started. Whitening products work very well on natural teeth, but do not make any difference to fillings or crowns

The top teeth have been whitened, but the filling didn't change colour

The small filling was very easy to replace and has been matched to the new shade of the teeth. By blending the margins of the filling we were able to make it dissapear

Replacing the filling gives the desired result
